What can ‘still water’ do? Probably nothing much at the surface level.

What can ‘slow-moving water’ do? It may displace a few pebbles and small rocks.

BUT what can a raging river like “COLORADO” do? It can cut Earth’s plateau deep: inch by inch, feet by feet over 6 million years it kept cutting Earth’s surface & has formed one of the world’s grand canyons. And once it is within Grand Canyon, the river Colorado can’t be seen that easily. Want to touch the water or see the river up close, one has to trek down roughly 7000ft. The native Americans rightly called the canyon KAIBAB – “the mountain upside down”.

The more you start to learn about the river, the more you will fall in love with it and also understand what modern human intervention has turned this wonderful river into. As we were about to say Good Bye to the canyon & the river, we stopped. The rain clouds started appearing all of a sudden and not just 1 but a double rainbow came out and the time stood still for a very long time.
