Mtskheta

It is one of the oldest cities in Georgia and is home to the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which holds the grave of Christ’s robe.

The city of Mtskheta is one of the oldest in Georgia, and is also seen as the birthplace of Christianity in the Caucasus nation. It is at Mtskheta that the Caucasian Iberian King Parnavaz in the 2nd century BC established his capital and became an ally of Rome. The Romans erected impressive buildings and fortifications, while Christianity took firm root in this region.

Gudauri

For a skiing holiday in Caucasus, explore Gudauri, just outside of Tbilisi. With an uber cool village boasting chic shops and galleries alongside beautifully designed slopes covered in snow, this is one place you can slice up the mountain in style.

Stepantsminda

Visit Stepantsminda and find yourself in the lush mountain valley of the North Caucasus in northern Georgia. It is more than a picturesque townlet, located in the lush and green Mtskheta-Mtianeti valley. The region is well known for its natural attractions and diversity. An enchanting little village that welcomes everyone with a big smile. This place is also home to The magnificent “Mount Kazbek”, one of the highest peaks in the Caucasus Mountains and Georgia’s third tallest.

Borjomi

Borjomi is the best place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Borjomi’s name comes from the Georgian word “borjomi” which means “warm”. The mineral water springs that are present in Borjomi Central Park provide locals and tourists with healing health benefits. This mineral water springs have made the town a passionate destination point worldwide. The warm water is known to be helpful for various ailments such as arthritis, gout, bursitis, nephritis, musculoskeletal disorders and so on.

Borjomi’s mineral waters are also used for therapeutic purposes by those who want to eliminate toxins from their body or want to lose weight.

Borjomi, the first written mention of which appeared during the census of 1795-6, made its acquaintance to Europeans through Ferdowsi in his “Shahnameh.” Evidently, it was mentioned in verse thus: “Borjomi brings to mind many curious springs, Its famous for all glorious things.” The town had been established sufficiently evidently by 1802 to warrant being granted a royal charter from Tsar Alexander.
